Ruth and Steve Gallo

Jr High Directors

Steve Gallo dedicated his life to serving and following Jesus when he was a very young boy but after some drifting years, rededicated his life to God when he was 16. Since then he has been plugged into groups such as Young Life, serving as a Sunday school teacher and participating in and even leading missions trips to countries around the world such as Cuba and Nicaragua, and has served as a short-term missionary as far away as Africa. After having his own family his dream of living in Auburn where he had plugged into the community with Young Life came to fruition. He and his wife Ruth have now been attending Sierra Grace for the past 71/2 years. Steve is very excited to be serving youth in Auburn as he sees the middle school years as a crucial time when kids turn into adults and make a more personal connection to their faith.

Ruth Gallo dedicated her life to Christ as a young person and served youth in both middle school and high school ministry when she was just out of high school. When she turned 22, she moved away from Whittier to Sacramento to participate in a church plant. At Sac State, she met her now-husband (Steve Gallo), attained her BA in English and her teaching credential. After teaching 7th and 8th grade for nearly seven years in Elk Grove public schools, she moved to Auburn with Steve and her 4 and 2-year-old sons and very pregnant with her 3rd son Micah. Now she is beyond thrilled to have a daughter, and feels privileged to now be serving middle school students in the capacity of their souls here at Sierra Grace Fellowship, and not just in the confines of public education. She and Steve are dedicated to encouraging our youth to have a deeply personal relationship with our Lord and Savior.
